VISIT THE SOROLLA MUSEUM

An authentic house museum
Created in 1932, the Museo Sorolla occupies the house and studio of the painter Joaquín Sorolla (1863-1923). Here you will find an intimate atmosphere: his brushes, his furniture, his personal collections and the Andalusian gardens he designed himself.

Why visit?
This museum offers a unique experience, far from the crowds of the big establishments. The collection brings together his most emblematic paintings: beach scenes bathed in light, vibrant portraits and Mediterranean landscapes. The master's studio remains as he left it, giving the impression that he has just stopped working.

A brief history and anecdotes
On Sorolla's death, his widow Clotilde García del Castillo donated the house and its works to be turned into a museum. Fun fact: the museum's gardens, designed by Sorolla himself in an Andalusian and Hispano-Arabic style, are considered a work of art in their own right.
