VISIT THE CERRALBO MUSEUM
A unique palace-museum
Located near the Plaza de España, the Cerralbo Museum is housed in the former residence of the Marquis of Cerralbo (1845-1922). Unlike other museums, it retains the original layout of the rooms, giving the impression of entering a home that is still inhabited.
Why visit?
This museum provides an insight into the daily life of an aristocratic Madrid family. The richly decorated drawing rooms, libraries and collection galleries transport visitors into the atmosphere of the 19th century. The diversity of the works on display - paintings, sculptures, weapons, clocks, porcelain - reflects the tastes of a great collector.
