Located in the 14ᵉ arrondissement, Parc Montsouris is one of the largest green spaces in the capital. With its vast lawns, lake and shady walkways, it offers a peaceful setting in which to relax or take a stroll.

A brief history and anecdotes

Created under the Second Empire at the request of Napoleon III, Parc Montsouris was designed by the engineer Adolphe Alphand to provide a large landscaped garden to the south of Paris. Its name derives from the windmills that once stood on the hillock, known as "Mont Mouse" by deformation.
