Located in the 19ᵉ arrondissement, Parc de la Villette is the largest urban park in Paris. It combines green spaces, cultural facilities, contemporary architecture and fun installations, offering a unique place for entertainment and culture.

  

Why visit?

It's a must for lovers of culture, entertainment and the great outdoors. It's home to the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Géode and numerous concert halls, as well as plenty of space to relax.

  

A brief history and anecdotes

Inaugurated in 1987 on the former site of the Villette abattoirs, the park was designed by architect Bernard Tschumi in an innovative style, combining nature and architectural structures known as "follies". Every year it hosts major festivals and events such as the Cinéma en plein air.
