VISIT THE RODIN MUSEUM

An essential symbol of art and sculpture

Housed in the elegant Hôtel Biron, the Rodin Museum is entirely dedicated to the work of the famous French sculptor Auguste Rodin. Nestling in the heart of a magnificent garden, it offers a peaceful setting in which to admire his most famous creations.

Why visit?

It's a chance to get up close and personal with masterpieces such as   The Thinker, ,  The Kiss or   The Burghers of Calais. The gardens, dotted with monumental sculptures, are an invitation to stroll and offer a unique poetic atmosphere.

A brief history and anecdotes

Auguste Rodin moved to the Hôtel Biron in 1908 and lived there for the rest of his life. He bequeathed his works and collections to the French state on condition that the site became a museum dedicated to his art, which it did in 1919. The site also houses the artist's archives and drawings.
