Located on the avenue des Champs-Élysées, the Grand Palais is an architectural masterpiece that is emblematic of Paris. Built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition, it impresses with its monumental nave, spectacular glass roof and unique combination of stone, iron and glass.

A brief history and anecdotes

The Grand Palais was completed in record time for the 1900 exhibition, as a tribute to "the glory of French art". During the Second World War, it was used as a garage for German tanks. Listed as a historic monument since 2000, it is currently being renovated and will reopen its doors for the 2024 Olympic Games.
