VISIT THE MONTPARNASSE TOWER

An essential symbol of Paris

At 210 metres high, the Montparnasse Tower is one of the few skyscrapers in Paris. Visible for miles around, its panoramic terrace offers one of the best views of the capital, with a unique perspective… of the Eiffel Tower!

Why visit?

It's the perfect place to enjoy a 360° view of Paris, without the glass and without the crowds. Day or night, the view is spectacular. Unlike the Eiffel Tower, the platform offers an unobstructed view of all the monuments: Invalides, Panthéon, Sacré-Cœur, and of course… the Eiffel Tower itself.

A brief history and anecdotes

Inaugurated in 1973, the Montparnasse Tower has long been criticised for its departure from the Haussmann aesthetic. In fact, it was behind the ban on high-rise buildings in Paris. Now restored, it has become a major landmark and a popular tourist attraction.
