Located in the heart of the Marais district, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie is an essential space dedicated to contemporary photographic art. It presents a wide range of exhibitions showcasing artists from all over the world.

A brief history and anecdotes
Opened in 1996, the MEP was created to offer photography a dedicated venue in Paris. Its collections include over 20,000 works and 40,000 books. It also has a specialised documentation centre and an auditorium for screenings and debates.
