Located between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde, the Tuileries Gardens are one of the oldest and most prestigious public gardens in Paris. Its wide avenues, ponds, sculptures and majestic vistas are awe-inspiring.

A brief history and anecdotes

Created in the XVIᵉ century by Catherine de Médicis to accompany her palace, the garden was redesigned by André Le Nôtre in the XVIIᵉ century in a classical French style. It was opened to the public after the Revolution and has remained a favourite place for strolling ever since.
